Elizabeth Sylvain was born in Kapuskasing, Ontario. Following high school, she moved to Barrie to pursue art studies at Georgian College and while there was selected by the Dean of the School of Design and Visual Arts to show her work during the school’s Annual Scholarship Exposition. Following graduation, Elizabeth moved further south to study advertising at Conestoga College and has called Kitchener-Waterloo home ever since.
Having grown up on a farm in a small community in northern Ontario has instilled a fascination for nature in Elizabeth which is captured in her still life drawings. Her work is mainly created with pencil or oil paints.
